Kuntur Birding is a Peruvian travel agency specializing in high-quality birding and wildlife photography tours across South America.
We offer both tailor-made itineraries and fixed tours to the best places in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, and Argentina/Chile — each country offering its own unique bird species, landscapes, and cultures.
Our tours are carefully designed and led by professional guides who share a passion for birds and wildlife photography.
We keep our groups small to ensure the best possible birding and photography experiences, while maintaining a personal connection with every traveler.
The name Kuntur Birding honors one of the Andes’ most iconic and majestic birds: the Andean Condor. Kuntur means “Condor” in Quechua, the ancient language of the Andes. The Condor has always held a powerful place in Andean folklore, mythology, and spirituality—both in ancient times and today.
We believe that sustainable tourism is key to preserving the natural world. During our tours, we strive to minimize our impact on the environment by traveling in small groups, involving local guides, visiting community-owned natural gardens and lodges, and supporting the conservation efforts of local communities.
